7NE Medsurg/Ortho RN

Overview

• Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights
• Hours: 36 per week
• Unit: 7NE - Ortho/Tele
• Beds: 22 total beds

Required Qualifications

• BLS certification
• Strong ortho experience
• Total Joint Replacement experience; fractures alone are not sufficient
• COVID vaccination required unless an approved medical or religious exemption is obtained
• Unexpired driver’s license copy must be included with submission
• Driver’s license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility

Schedule

• Weekend requirement: EOW or 2 weekend shifts per schedule
• Holiday requirement: Travelers are expected to work into the holiday rotation
• Orientation: 1–2 shifts on the unit

Unit Details

• Patient mix: Ortho joints/replacements/fractures
• RN telemetry responsibility: RN’s do not have to read strips
• Charge nurse coverage: 24/7
• CNA support: 3 CNAs per shift
• RT/equipment support: As needed

Floating

• May float to 7E, 7W, 10W, and 10E

Submission Notes

• Can only submit to 1 position at a time across the entire WVU system
• Previous perm candidates must have been gone for 2 years
• Previous travelers who were there for 1 full year must have been gone for 2 years
• Travel teams must be submitted together in 1 email
• Up to 2 candidates per opening may be submitted
