Night Shift Pharmacist (Contract)

Location: Janesville, Wisconsin
Facility: Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center
Specialty: Pharmacy
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)

Schedule

7/70 position with 10-hour shifts
Week 1: 7 shifts, Wednesday through following Tuesday
Week 2: Off
Week 3: 70 hours of 10-hour shifts
Pattern repeats

Job Description

Perform all pharmaceutical care functions including medication and IV orders
Evaluate drug appropriateness, dosage, allergies, interactions, and incompatibilities
Monitor therapeutic drug levels
Perform and supervise computer data entry related to patient profiles
Monitor medication dispensing accuracy
Supervise prescription filling and provide patient counseling
Collect and analyze data for process improvement projects
Conduct in-service training for community and support groups
May be required to work alternate shifts
Maintain professionalism and serve as a resource for health system partners
Maintain expertise through literature review, continuing education, and self-evaluation

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Program
Wisconsin Registered Pharmacist License
