Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU/ICU

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Full-time position, working 72 hours per two-week pay period
• 12-hour shifts with day/night rotation, including weekends
• Coordinate total nursing care for patients of all ages using the nursing process
• Provide patient and family teaching
• Collaborate with ancillary nursing and patient care team to maintain professional nursing standards
• Procedures include telemetry, dressing changes, ventilators/BIPAP, IV starts
• Unit uses Epic electronic charting, Omnicell medication system, Liko and EZ lifts, Alaris IV pumps, Nova Statstrip blood glucose monitoring

Unit Details

• 23-bed Med/Surg/ICU unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:1 to 1:3 in ICU depending on census and patient needs
• Dress code: Black scrubs
• One-week hospital and department orientation provided

Required Qualifications

• Active North Dakota or compact RN license (willing to obtain if needed)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Completion of a basic cardiology class for nurses required
• Minimum 1 year ICU experience required
• Knowledge of cardiac-related medications and rhythm analysis
• Experience caring for BIPAP patients required
• Flu shot is required

• No floating to other units
• Shift and schedule are variable with day/night rotation
