Job Opportunity: Therapist (Respiratory Care Services)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide general respiratory care floor therapy including nebulizer therapy, EzPAP, IPV, CPAP, BiPAP, Acapella, CPT, Vest therapy, ABGs, and use of various oxygen delivery devices.
• Utilize equipment such as Vision and V60 Bipap machines, Focus and Synchrony CPAP/BiPAP machines, and high flow systems.
• Work with computerized charting systems (EPIC), medication systems (Omnicell), and medical supply systems (Pyxis).
• Assignments may vary across different floors based on department needs.
• Large department environment with available resources and assistance; employee will not work alone.
• Orientation includes hospital and department training during the first two weeks, with a preceptor for initial shifts.
• After orientation, transition to 8-hour evening shifts.
• Dress code requires wine-colored scrubs with logo wear for tops/jackets.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience on general floors OR at least 1 year of ICU experience.
• Active Respiratory Therapist license for Nebraska.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• Trach experience is required.
• High school diploma required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system (preferred but not required).

Schedule and Work Environment

• Typically 8-hour evening shifts after orientation.
• Floating to different units/floors as needed.
• No solo work; support always available.
• No specific call or weekend requirements mentioned.
