Registered Nurse (RN) – Intermediate Care Unit (IMC)

Location: Salisbury, Maryland
Employment Type: Traveler - Backfill
Shift: 12-hour nights
Hours per Week: 36

Job Summary

Provide care for high acuity patients who require more monitoring than a medical/surgical floor but do not need full ICU care.
Manage patients with conditions such as sepsis, diabetic ketoacidosis, post open-heart surgery, continuous cardiac infusions, and those on acute continuous non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP/CPAP).
Continuously monitor cardiac and respiratory status and respond promptly to changes in hemodynamics or respiratory demands.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
Serve as an advocate and educator for patients and their families.
Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment focused on critically ill patients.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (IMC/PCU experience is a plus).
Valid Maryland RN license or compact RN license.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Additional Information

Candidate must reside outside a 100-mile radius from the facility.
Contract length: 13 weeks.
