Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Long Term Care (Evenings)

Job Description

• Provide nursing care under supervision, responsible for a group of residents/patients during the shift.
• Perform assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care.
• Manage the environment to maintain resident/patient safety.
• Supervise nursing assistants and helpers in resident/patient care activities.
• Follow all applicable policies, procedures, and standards of care, including the State Nurse Practice Act and JCAHO standards where applicable.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service aligned with core principles of exceptional care, passionate service, and unexpected luxury.
• Must be flexible with scheduling; blocked scheduling cannot be guaranteed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in Michigan.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Long Term Care, including experience within the last year.
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) experience.
• Completion of at least one travel assignment.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).

Additional Requirements

• Must have an active Michigan iCHAT account and be authorized to schedule fingerprinting.
• Work history/resume and home/taxable address must be documented.
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission.
• References highly preferred; may be required during onboarding.
• License verification and copy of BLS certification required.

Work Details

• Shift: Evenings
• Dress Code: Matching scrubs preferred in gray or purple (any color acceptable).
• Overtime: Billable after 40 hours, no multiplier.
• Holiday/Call-back: 1.25x pay rate with a minimum of 2 hours for call-back.
• Orientation: No billable hours.
• Travelers must clock out to ensure proper compensation.
