Job Description

• The position requires a Registered Nurse who is comfortable working with newborns and delivered mothers.

Required Qualifications

• Licenses/Certifications:

  • California RN License
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Provider)
  • Advanced Fetal Monitoring

Additional Certifications (Preferred)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• CCRN (Critical Care RN)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
• NIH Stroke Certification
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)

Health Documents

• Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start.
• TB Screening: Negative QGold or TSPOT within 90 days of start, or 2 PPDs.
• Immunizations:

  • Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B
• Flu Vaccination: Required during flu season.

Background Check

• A 7-year background check is required within 6 months of start.

• Must provide a complete 7-year work history with no gaps.
• Professional references are required.

Skills Checklist

• Unit Specific Skills Checklist required, to be renewed annually.
