Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medical Technologist
Location: San Francisco, California

Job Description
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceutical dosages for imaging procedures.
- Operate imaging equipment to scan patient body areas as requested by healthcare providers.
- Explain procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support, especially for those who are fearful, nervous, or in pain.
- Maintain and ensure safe operation of imaging equipment.
- Shift: 3x8 hour shifts, Days (0800-1700), Wednesday to Friday. No floating, on-call, or weekend requirements.
- Locals only.
Required Qualifications
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) certification.
- Higher years of specialty experience (if specified elsewhere) should be met.
Certifications (as applicable)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or ARC only.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC only.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA or ARC only.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - AHA/AAP only, must be Instructor or Advanced Provider Course.
- CCRN (Critical Care RN) - verify if applicable.
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - valid for 4 years.
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) - verify if applicable.
- State License - professional license copy and primary source verification within 30 days of start.
- Tech Certification Verification - required within 30 days of start.
- IV Certification (if applicable).
- Other certifications may be required depending on position specifics.
Background Checks & Compliance
- 7-year background check required within 6 months of start, including SSN trace with all aliases, county searches, sex offender search, education verification, and international search if applicable.
- FACIS Level 3 screening required within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required and updated annually.
- Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law).
- TB Screening Questionnaire within 90 days of start, renewed annually.
- Immunizations and health screenings as required (see Health Documents).
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start.
- Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (specific mask types accepted).
- Immunizations:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years).
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days, renewed annually.
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella - proof of immunity or vaccination.
- Hepatitis B series or declination.
- Varicella - proof of immunity or vaccination.
- Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov-April), or signed declination.
- Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start.
Competency Exams (as applicable)
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam.
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (may be required for some units).
- Other competency exams as required by profession or unit.
Employment History & Documentation
- Full 7 years of work history required in application, including city and state, with no gaps.
- Employment verification for up to 7 years required; gaps over 30 days must be explained.
- Attestations for unverifiable employment accepted only under strict conditions.
- References: 2 professional references required for clinical/allied/per diem acute care; 1 for per diem non-acute care.
