Job Opportunity: Surgical Services - Travel/Contract
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri

Job Details
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with call required
- Certifications Required:
- NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting)
- CSFA (Certified Surgical First Assistant)
- Experience Required:
- Minimum 1 year of specialty experience (Level 1 experience required)
- First-time travelers are welcome (no prior travel experience required)
Required Certifications & Licenses
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
- State License (Missouri or Compact License) with Primary Source Verification prior to start
- NURSYS Verification (if applicable)
Background & Compliance Requirements
- Criminal background check within 12 months, including:
- SSN Trace
- 7-year county residence/work history
- Nationwide search
- Sex offender search
- State-specific searches required for Missouri candidates (MO EDL Search, MO Family Care Safety Registry)
- Government-issued photo ID required
- I9 and E-Verify documentation required
- Residency Declaration Form if working on a compact license in a different state
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health
- Negative TB test (PPD, Qgold, or TSPOT) within 12 months; chest x-ray within 5 years if positive PPD
- TB questionnaire at start and annually
- Drug screening within 12 months of start
- Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required annually during flu season
- COVID vaccine series preferred
- OSHA Respirator Clearance required prior to start (fit testing done onsite during orientation)
- Fit mask testing required annually; must be clean-shaven for fit test at this facility
- Various immunizations or proof of immunity: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (for new candidates)
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Completion of all required orientation modules and facility-specific training prior to or during orientation
- Signing of Confidentiality and Security Agreement and Standards of Ethical Conduct
- Respirator Fit Test Form to be completed onsite during orientation
- Post-start orientation checklists to be completed during orientation
- Glucometer assessment for applicable roles during orientation
Competency Exams (as applicable)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam for certain units (ED, ICU, Telemetry, PCU, Step Down)
Additional Notes
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position
- First-time travel candidates are accepted
- Candidates must be able to work call shifts as required
- Modules and training must be updated annually
- Candidates must provide a clear, passport-style photo for badge issuance
