Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology (Travel/Contract)

Location: Billings, Montana


Position Overview

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • On-call Requirements:
    • 1 night per week
    • 1 weekend per month
  • Montana state license not required to apply; license process begins immediately upon offer

Required Certifications

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA only, certificates of completion NOT accepted
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA only, certificates of completion NOT accepted
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – AHA only, certificates of completion NOT accepted
  • Additional certifications may be required depending on specific role (e.g., NRP, TNCC, EFM)

Licensure & Verification

  • Montana State License required within 30 days of start for Radiology Techs (Generalist, Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology)
  • Temporary licenses NOT accepted
  • NURSYS verification required for RNs and LPN/LVNs within 30 days of start
  • Technical certifications required for certain allied health roles (e.g., Radiology Tech, Phlebotomist)

Background & Compliance Requirements

  • 7-year background check required within 30 days of start; must be renewed annually
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
  • Education verification through third party required to confirm minimum education level

Health & Safety Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, stating good health and ability to perform job duties
  • Quantitative fit test with 3M mask within 90 days prior to start (annual renewal required)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray with annual renewal
  • Immunizations or titers required for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B
    • Varicella
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine preferred within 10 years or signed declination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31), with exemptions accepted
  • COVID-19 vaccination series or approved medical/religious exemption required
  • Negative drug screen within 30 days of start, renewed annually

Documentation & History

  • Current and valid government photo ID (Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport)
  • Proof of name change if applicable
  • Employment application covering 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days
  • Two references required, including one direct supervisor reference within the last year
  • Employment verification preferred for last 5 years
  • Skills checklist as applicable

Additional Notes

  • Onsite OSHA form required for fit testing scheduling
  • Religious exemptions for fit testing evaluated case-by-case
  • Handwritten vaccination records accepted if they meet state/public health documentation standards
