Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Leominster, Massachusetts

• Specialty Experience: Endoscopy experience required to submit
• Work Hours:

  • Monday through Friday, either 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
• Call Schedule:

  • Weeknights 4:00 PM - 7:00 AM (approximately every 7th or 8th weeknight)
  • Weekends from Friday 4:00 PM to Monday 7:00 AM (approximately every 7th or 8th weekend)
  • Holidays 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM

Certifications & Competencies Required

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA Only
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA Only
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - AHA Only (if applicable)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) (if applicable)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) - Preferred for ER
• Chemotherapy Certification - Preferred for Oncology
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) - May be required for Labor & Delivery
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam - Required for all RNs
• Competency Exam - Required as applicable
• Pass/Fail Testing (Medication and Telemetry Exams) - Medication exam required for all RNs; Telemetry exam required for RNs working in telemetry units including Labor & Delivery

Background & Compliance Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License or State ID
• Massachusetts Statewide (iCORI) Release (updated annually)
• 7-year Criminal Background Check within 30 days of start (annual update required)
• Education Verification (highest completed education)
• State License Verification within 30 days of start
• NURSYS Verification within 30 days prior to start
• Various background checks including EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, Sex Offender Search (for subcontractors)
• Facility-specific background and compliance attestations as required

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical Exam within 12 months of start, including physician statement of fitness to work without restrictions
• Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray with required follow-up if positive
• TB Questionnaire (required for all candidates)
• Immunizations or Declinations (declinations not accepted for Pediatrics, Maternity, NICU):

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (3-dose series or titer or declination)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines, positive titer, or declination)
  • Seasonal Flu Vaccine or Declination (required during flu season)
  • COVID-19 Vaccine (most recent vaccination or declination)
• Drug Testing within 30 days of start (specific panels required)

Additional Requirements

• 2 professional references within 3 years of start
• Employment application covering 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps over 30 days
• Skills checklist required prior to start and updated annually
• Compliance with facility-specific declination policies for vaccines and immunizations

Prior Travel Experience

• No explicit requirement for prior travel experience indicated
