Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina

Job Details

  • Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in Interventional Radiology (must have IR experience)
  • First-timers Accepted: Yes
  • Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other weekend
  • Shift Details: Days, weekends, and call required
  • Floating: Required to float within scope to meet facility needs/float between like units
  • Block Scheduling: Open to accommodating block scheduling
  • Locals Accepted: No (50-mile radius rule from main campus)
  • Pending License: Not accepted
  • Return to Work Restrictions:
    • Must be gone for 1 year to return as a traveler
    • System has a 2 contract limit (can only extend once), then must be gone for 6 months to return
  • Guaranteed Hours: Call off policy of 2 shifts per 13-week assignment; after that, all contracted shifts are guaranteed

  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure): Required for L&D, FCCU, NICU
  • Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing: Required for Radiology and Special Procedures (IR) among other units
  • NIH Stroke Certification: Must be updated annually; required for multiple units including Radiology
  • Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication): Required for Radiology and Special Procedures (IR); candidates have 3 attempts to pass with remediation required after failures
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam: Required and must be renewed annually; basic and advanced levels depending on unit

Background & Health Requirements

  • Education verification or diploma/transcript required
  • Physical exam required within 1 year, updated annually
  • Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days (specific substances listed)
  • Immunizations and titers required:
