Overview
Seeking a skilled and experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience. The role involves performing interventional radiology procedures using Siemens imaging equipment. Normal business hours with rotating days off and call requirements.
Schedule
- Hours: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday with a rotating day off
- Call Requirement:
- One primary weekday and one backup weekday per month
- One weekend every 6 weeks (alternating primary or backup)
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in interventional radiology
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- Skills: Proficient in using Siemens imaging equipment
- Preferred: Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system
Key Responsibilities
- Perform interventional radiology procedures
- Operate Siemens imaging equipment effectively
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records in EPIC (preferred)
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, including FBI and BCI fingerprinting results
- Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG monitoring
- Education accreditation confirmation required
- Fingerprinting (Ohio BCI & FBI) must be completed within 1 year of start
- Pending background check attestation required if fingerprint results are pending
- High school diploma or GED verification (for RRTs)
- Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (no pending tests allowed)
- 2 professional references required (at least 1 from a manager or formal leadership)
- Employment application and skills checklist required
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine (adult dose after age 11/12)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year of start; TB questionnaire required
- Immunizations or positive titers for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer; medical exemptions reviewed)
- Hepatitis B titer or 3-vaccine series (signed declination acceptable)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31) with mask requirement if declined
- COVID-19 vaccination not required but strongly recommended
Certifications and Competencies
- ACLS and BLS certifications must be current and AHA approved
- Unit-specific competency exams required
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required annually
Additional Facility Policies
- Dress code and hand hygiene policy must be reviewed and signed
- Confidential Fraud, Waste, Abuse, and Compliance Reporting training and acknowledgment required
- Ethics and compliance policies must be reviewed and signed annually
