Job Description

  • Care coordination for stem cell transplant patients.

Required Experience

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse

    • Unit Specific Competency Exam (Burn ICU and Interventional Radiology RNs may take ICU exam)

    • Infection Control/Bloodborne Pathogens Exam (required for all clinical and per diem candidates)
  • Continuing Education:
    • CEUs within last 24 months required for RNs (must include candidate’s name, course name, date, and contact hours)
  • Other:
    • Signed HIPAA acknowledgment
    • Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgment
    • Pass/Fail Testing (Medication/Calculation Exam and Arrhythmia Recognition Assessment for certain units)

Licensure & Documentation

  • Valid professional state license (hard copy required for some specialties)
  • Background check within 1 year (7-year search including statewide, nationwide, sex offender, SS trace, federal)
  • Proof of education and transcripts as applicable
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year (amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cocaine, opiates, PCP)
  • Physical exam within 1 year, updated annually
  • Mask Fit Testing (N95) within 1 year, renewed annually
  • Immunizations and Titers:
    • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year
    • Hepatitis B series or declination (titer not accepted)
    • Hepatitis C titer preferred; declination accepted with reason
    • Flu vaccine required annually by December 5 (declination accepted with masking requirements)
    • COVID-19 vaccine documentation for current season or declination with masking requirements
    • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines after age 1; boosters required if negative/equivocal
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap or Pertussis titer for immunity

  • Two professional references within 1 year from leadership roles (e.g., Department Manager, Supervisor, Charge Nurse)
