Job Details

  • Position: Elementary Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Full Time to cover leave
  • Contract Length: 10 weeks (interpreted from contract_length = 10)
  • Contract Dates: End of March through June 17, 2026
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch (37.5 billable hours per week)
  • Experience:
    • School-based experience preferred but not required
    • Not accepting Clinical Fellows (CFs)
  • Licensure/Certifications Required:
    • Washington State SLP License
    • Educational Staff Associate (ESA) Certification (will expedite ESA if needed)
    • ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred but not required

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid Washington SLP license
  • ESA certification required (candidate cannot start with certification pending; client will expedite but will not obtain conditional ESA)
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
  • School-based experience preferred but not mandatory
  • Clinical Fellows (CFs) are not accepted

Certifications & Compliance

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required for RNs and LVNs (if applicable)
  • Educational Services - State Teaching Certificate and verification required
  • Fingerprinting through Washington OSPI required (candidate responsible for completing; fingerprint results shared with school district)
  • Mandatory Reporter Training required (must be updated annually)
  • Background checks including criminal background, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and Washington State Patrol Search required and must be current (within 1 year)
  • Drug testing not required unless specifically requested by client
  • Various educational and certification verifications required and must be uploaded prior to start

Additional Notes

  • Physical exam, TB testing, and immunizations (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu) are not required by default but may be requested by the client or state
  • Candidate must complete school-specific forms annually (e.g., Responsible Use, Access Request)
  • Candidate must comply with all state and facility-specific documentation and background check requirements
  • Candidate must have an unexpired government-issued photo ID
