Job Opportunity: Telemetry Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry nursing experience required
• Even-Over-Week (EOW) schedule
• Night shifts occur within the same week; if scheduled nights, all three days that week will be night shifts
• First-time travelers are welcome
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius

Required Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania RN license or compact RN license
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification (must be renewed annually)

Required Background and Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• 7-year criminal background check including SS trace, county searches, nationwide, sex offender registry, and Pennsylvania statewide patch search
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check
• HHS/OIG check
• PA FBI fingerprinting within 12 months of start (must be completed in Pennsylvania)
• Education verification (transcripts, diplomas, or third-party verifications)
• NURSYS verification for RN license

Certifications and Competencies

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
• Competency Exam (as applicable)
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification required for Emergency Department, Behavioral Health, and Acute Care Units (annual certification required)
• Comprehensive Crisis Management certification required for Emergency Department, Behavioral Health, and Acute Care Units (annual certification required)

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Tdap vaccination within the past 10 years (facility accepts declinations with completed declination form)
• Negative TB test (PPD, Q Gold, or T-Spot) within 6 months or chest X-ray within 5 years
• Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; declination accepted with form (exempt if born before 1957)
• Hepatitis B: series, titer, or declination accepted
• Varicella: 2 vaccines, positive titer, or history of chickenpox; declination accepted
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination (mask required if declined during flu season Nov-April)
• COVID vaccination or facility-specific declination

Additional Requirements

• Photo for badge (passport style, no filters)
• Completion of facility-specific orientation packet and acknowledgements prior to start
• Completion of medical surveillance checklist prior to start
• Completion of bloodborne pathogen quiz prior to start
• References: 2 professional references within 3 years
• Annual skills checklist

Prior Travel Experience

• No prior travel experience required

Shift Details

• Even-Over-Week schedule with night shifts grouped in the same week
