Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Dededo, Guam
• Acute care setting
• 13-week assignment
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts, day or night
• Travelers are scheduled primarily on one shift and cannot request a shift preference
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays required
• Block scheduling is TBD by unit needs

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of emergency department experience
• Current Compact or Guam RN license in hand at time of submittal
• Passport in hand
• ACLS
• BLS
• Conscious sedation certification
• NIH Stroke Scale training
• Advanced NRP
• PALS
• Must pass onsite drug calculations and BKAT testing during orientation
• Must complete required facility modules before start

Scheduling and Assignment Notes

• RTO is limited to no more than 3 consecutive days and no more than 7 days total in the 13-week contract
• Overtime is not guaranteed and is at management discretion
• Travelers may be asked to pick up additional shifts based on census
• Travelers should plan to arrive by Thursday before start at the latest due to travel time and time zone differences

Compliance and Pre-Start Items

• Background check required before start
• Emergency contact form required before start
• Government-issued photo ID required
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit test within 1 year prior to start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Immunization and vaccine documentation required per facility policy
• 9-panel drug screen required before start
• Work history verification for the last 10 years required
• 2 professional references required within 3 years of start
