Overview

• Travel/Contract Registered Nurse role in Columbus, Ohio.
• Based in the Ohio State Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital.
• 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts.
• Shift pattern: Night (3x12) 19:00–7:30 or Day (3x12) 7:00–19:30.
• Weekdays and some weekends; rotating holidays.
• Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period.
• Estimated patient ratio: 1:1–2.
• Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• CVICU experience within the last year
• 1 year of CVICU experience
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• IV start capability
• Mechanical ventilator management
• Swan-Ganz catheter management
• Conscious sedation administration
• Intra-aortic balloon pump operation
• Pulmonary artery line management
• Experience with Epic
• 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start
• Ohio BCI/FBI fingerprinting within 1 year of start

• Unit-specific competency exam
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam within 1 year of start and updated annually

• Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgement
• Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Training Certificate
• Confidential Fraud Waste Abuse and Compliance Reporting Mechanism Form
• Ethics and Compliance Policies acknowledgement
• Dress Code and Hand Hygiene Policy acknowledgement
• Proof of fingerprint completion
• Background acknowledgement form for sub-agency travelers
• Pending background check attestation if starting with fingerprint results pending
