Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Columbus, Ohio.
• 16-week contract.
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30.
• The schedule may be days, nights, or a combination of both if a 12D/N rotating contract is accepted.
• Staffing ratios aim for 1:4 and may be adjusted to 1:5 based on unit needs.
• Weekends are variable.
• No set or blocked scheduling requests.

Role Focus

• Oncology Nurse caring for adult and geriatric patients with cancer diagnoses.
• The unit provides chemotherapy, clinical trials, brachytherapy, and CBI.
• Telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, infection prevention, falls management, IV therapy, blood product administration, central line maintenance, feeding tube care, and neobladder care are part of the role.
• EPIC is used for charting.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience).
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Experience with chemotherapy administration.
• Experience with brachytherapy.
• Experience with neobladder care.
• Experience interpreting dysrhythmias and responding appropriately to changes in patient conditions.
• Experience with feeding tube care and management.
• Experience with IV therapy.
• Experience with blood product administration.
• Experience with central line maintenance.
• Ohio State license verification.
• NURSYS verification.
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam within 1 year of start and updated annually.
• Unit-specific competency exam.
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam.
