PCU Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Dubois, Pennsylvania.
• 13-week contract.
• Night shift or day shift, 3x12 hours.
• 36 hours per week.
• Every other weekend.
• First-time travelers are accepted.
• No locals within a 50-mile radius.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Pennsylvania.
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience).
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year.
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• NIHSS.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• 2 professional references within 3 years of hire.

Additional Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID.
• Background check, including 7-year criminal search, SS trace, county searches for the last 7 years of locations lived/worked/in school, nationwide search, sex offender search, and PA statewide search.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check.
• HHS/OIG check.
• Education verification.
• PA FBI fingerprinting.
• PA Child Abuse Search.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start.
• Tdap vaccination within the past 10 years.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray.
• Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity or documentation as specified by the source.
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start.
• Flu vaccine or facility declination during flu season.
• COVID vaccine or facility declination.
• Alcohol breathalyzer test within 30 days of start.
• Skills checklist annually.

Notes

• Nights are scheduled within the same week, so a night assignment means working all three shifts that week at night.
