DOU (PCU/TELE) Nights RN Needed

Overview

• Travel/contract RN role in Valencia, California
• Night shift: 3x12s, 19:00–7:30
• 36 hours per week
• Start dates listed as 10/13, 10/27, or 11/11
• Mostly med surg, with possible float to Tele
• Unit ratios: DOU 1:3; ARU 1:5
• Every other weekend required, or more depending on department needs
• Floating required to ARU and DOU, with patients received within scope
• RTO must be submitted up front, no exceptions

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• DOU - Direct Observation Unit (1 year of experience)
• DOU - Direct Observation Unit experience within the last year
• Telemetry experience
• Med Surg experience
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Certifications

• ACLS

Scheduling and Float Scope

• Night shift
• 3x12 schedule
• Every other weekend required
• Mandatory float to ARU and DOU
• May float to Tele

Additional Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID
• 7-year background check required within 1 year of start
• Identity verification required before start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
• TB questionnaire
• Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, varicella, drug testing, flu vaccination/documentation, and COVID documentation/declination requirements
• 2 professional references within 3 years of start
