Overview

• Travel/Contract RN role in Valencia, California.
• Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:30.
• 36 hours per week.
• Contract length: 13 weeks.
• Start dates mentioned: 10/13, 10/27, or 11/10.

Role Details

• Every other weekend required, or more depending on department needs.
• Floating required to ARU and DOU, with patients within scope.
• Heavy neuro and joints.
• Nurse-to-patient ratio in DOU: 1:3.
• Nurse-to-patient ratio in ARU: 1:5.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Float experience within the last year
• 1 year of float experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Management of dysrhythmias
• Feeding tube care and management
• Blood Product Administration
• Central line care/management
• Peripheral Line Care/Management
• Starting IVs
• Non-invasive airway management
• Tracheostomy Management
• Wound Care/Wound Vac
• RTO must be submitted up front, no exceptions.

Additional Required Items

• Government-issued photo ID
• 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Education verification of highest level
• Identity verification
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
• TB questionnaire
• Rubeola, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella documentation
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Flu vaccination or declination during flu season
• COVID vaccine or facility-specific declination during season
• 2 professional references within 3 years of start
