Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)

Job Description

• Provide occupational therapy services in a home health setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with patients, families, physicians, and co-workers.
• Apply therapy best practices and make appropriate occupational therapy judgments.
• Handle situations with effective problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong observational skills.
• Maintain a disciplined work ethic with the ability to prioritize tasks and be timely.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance with the candidate listed as a driver are required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in Missouri.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with at least 1 year of experience.
• Experience in an Acute Care setting within the last year.
• Valid driver’s license.

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background check and fingerprinting must be completed prior to employment in Missouri.
• Drug screening: 5-panel urine drug screen required prior to start.
• Immunizations and health documentation may be required, including but not limited to:

  • Hepatitis B vaccination or declination form.
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within the last year.
  • Flu vaccine or approved exemption during flu season (November - April).
• Photo for badge and proof of auto insurance required.
• Physical exam may be required depending on location.
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement may be required depending on employment type.

Additional Notes

• No on-call duties.
• Travel within specified counties for patient visits.
• Must be able to work independently in a home health environment.

This position is ideal for a licensed OTA with acute care experience looking to work in home health on a travel contract basis in Missouri.
