CVOR Tech Travel/Contract Position
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 4:30 PM), rotating days
- Call Requirements:
- Weeknight call 1-2 nights per week (average)
- Weekend call every 1-2 weekends (average)
- Cases per day: 3-6
- Scrub experience required
- Must float to other service lines including General Surgery
- Block schedule cannot be accommodated
- Facility is 100% nicotine free
- Scrubs provided by facility
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel assignment
- General Surgery experience required
Required Certifications & Licenses
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association
- PALS issued by the American Heart Association
- NRP certification
- NIHSS certification
Compliance & Background Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID required
- Background check within 30 days of start and updated annually, including:
- Criminal history (all counties lived/worked/attended school in past 7 years)
- Sex offender registry
- Federal and state exclusions lists (SAM, OIG)
- State-specific registry checks required (Nebraska DHHS Adult & Child Services Registry)
- Education verification required
- Drug screen within 60 days of start and updated annually (specific drug panel required)
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Fit test for N95 mask within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Tdap vaccine within last 10 years
- Annual PPD or equivalent TB testing, with chest x-ray if history of positive PPD
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer with boosters if needed
- Hepatitis B titer or declination acceptable
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer with boosters if needed
- Flu vaccine preferred (documentation or declination required)
- COVID vaccine preferred; medical/religious exemption or declination accepted
- Baseline eye exam (Snellen) required within 30 days of start (for OR staff only)
Additional Information
- Locals not accepted; candidate must reside more than 100 miles from facility
- Two professional references from work within past 2 years required
- Annual skills checklist required
- Bi-weekly orientation provided
