Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technologist

Location: Winfield, Illinois

Job Description

• Perform interventional radiology procedures including biopsies, CVC, PICC, tunneled HD catheters, post placements, fistulograms, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, drain placements, ureteral stents, nephrostomy tubes, thrombectomies, thrombolysis, Y-90 treatments, embolizations.
• Work in cath lab performing diagnostic and interventional procedures including IABP, IVUS, and IMPELLA.
• Use specialized equipment such as Siemens C-Arm (single and bi-plane) and GE ultrasound.
• Participate in rotating call schedule approximately 7-9 days every six weeks, including weekend coverage every 5th weekend.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Illinois
• Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• Associate Degree in Applied Sciences
• ARRT Certification
• Illinois Emergency Medical Services Agency (IEMA) Licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by American Heart Association
• Experience with Epic system

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience.
• At least 1 year experience in a similar role within active interventional cardiac cath, NeuroIR, IR, or EP labs.
• Bachelor of Science Degree.

Call Requirements

• Rotating call schedule with current staff.
• Approximately 7-9 call days in a six-week schedule.
• Includes weekend call every 5th weekend.

Required Certifications & Licenses

• ARRT Certification.
• Illinois IEMA Licensure.
• BLS (AHA).
• ACLS (AHA) within 6 months of hire.

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Complete and maintain I9 documentation.
• Current and valid Driver’s License or Government Photo ID recommended.
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, education verification, and federal/state screenings.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and ability to perform job duties.
• Fit mask testing within 12 months of start and annually thereafter.
• Required immunizations and/or proof of immunity: Tdap, TB testing, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B, Flu vaccination or approved exemption, COVID vaccination or declination.
• Drug screening (10 panel) within 30 days of start.
• Completion of facility-specific training modules and policy acknowledgements prior to start.
• Illinois Healthcare Worker Registry fingerprinting and eligibility verification required prior to assignment start.

Additional Information

• Candidates must pass a color blindness test.
• Competency exam required.
• Employment history covering 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days.
