Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist - NICU

Location: Macon, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Unit Details

• Primary role in Level 3 NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit).
• CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) not accepted.
• Must be proficient and able to function independently in critical care of neonates including:

  • Intubation (>22 weeks gestational age)
  • Obtaining arterial blood samples
  • Assisting in high-risk, low-volume bedside procedures
• Must also possess adult critical care skills including:

  • Intubation
  • Airway management
  • Arterial line insertion
• Weekend schedule: Every other weekend
• No call required
• Floating within hospital and to a nearby hospital as needed
• Minimum experience required: 2 years (first-time travelers accepted)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Georgia
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• At least 2 years of recent experience within the last year as a Respiratory Therapist
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level 3 NICU setting

Additional Requirements

• Clinical screening will be conducted to determine clinical fit.
• Full compliance with all documentation and credentialing required to start on time.
• Orientation hours are non-billable and depend on contract length.
• Must work major holidays if they fall during the assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day).
• References: 2 clinical references required.
• Skills checklist and work history verification required (can be pending at start with proof of processing).

Notes

• Locals are accepted at the same rate.
• Return to office (RTO) maximum 7 days.
• Floating may include coverage at a nearby hospital within scope of practice.

This position is ideal for experienced Respiratory Therapists with neonatal and adult critical care skills looking for a travel contract in a Level 3 NICU setting. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
