Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech

Location: Dothan, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: Monday to Friday, 5x8 hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Patient Population: Adolescent to Geriatric
  • Patient Ratio: 1:6

Required Qualifications

  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Recent Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Licensing

  • Must hold a valid Nuclear Medicine Tech license as applicable for Alabama.
  • License name must exactly match the name on the driver's license and social security card.
  • Proof of license renewal required before start if license will expire during assignment.

Additional Requirements

  • Must live at least 90 miles from the facility (no local candidates within 50-mile radius).
  • Background checks including 7-year criminal history, sex offender registry, education verification, and others required within 30 days of start.
  • Drug testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (instant/rapid tests not accepted).
  • Physical exam and fit mask test (specific mask types) required annually.
  • Immunizations and titers required: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B, TB test or chest X-ray, Flu vaccination (declinations not accepted except for approved exemptions).
  • COVID-19 vaccination is voluntary.
  • Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start.
  • APS Clearance Form (Alabama Shirley’s Law) must be completed and cleared prior to orientation.
  • Proof of 2 clinical references within the last 12 months required.

Notes

  • One return-to-office (RTO) request allowed per 13-week assignment.
  • Candidate must bring a valid driver’s license on the first day.
  • Photo for badge required within 72 hours of signing contract (passport-style, no nose rings).
  • Facility requires strict compliance with all documentation and credentialing prior to start.
