Location: Battle Creek, Michigan
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work primarily on a 10-bed Observation Unit (ER Overflow) with patient ratios of 1:6 at night and 1:5 during the day.
Focus on constant reassessment of patient readiness for discharge; rapid admission and discharge expected.
Floating to other Medical-Surgical units approximately once per week, depending on need.
Weekend work required every other weekend.
Medical-Surgical units have a mix of medical patients with staffing ratios typically 1:5-6 at night; may flex to 1:8 with LPN support.
Must be willing to collaborate with a variety of staff including RNs, LPNs, and Techs.
Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed or approved at this time.

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN), with experience within the last year.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Academy of Pediatrics or American Medical Learning Center.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Chemotherapy (CHEMO) certification.
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification.
Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification.
Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification.
Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement completed.
