Travel Registered Nurse (CVPICU) - Columbus, Ohio

Job Details

  • Floating: Required to float to NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and medical-surgical units as needed. Must comply with facility float expectations.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred.

Required Licenses & Certifications

  • License: Ohio State RN license or Compact RN license.
  • Certifications:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA certification required.
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA certification required.
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA certification required.
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - Required for NICU RNs.
    • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - Required.
    • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) - Required.
  • State License Verification: Must be verified within 30 days of start.
  • NURSYS Verification: Required for RN license verification.

Required Qualifications & Compliance

  • Two professional supervisory references required (one must be a supervisor/manager; peer references not accepted).
  • Must be willing and able to float to multiple units as needed.
  • Current government-issued photo ID required.
  • Criminal background check within 30 days of start (7-year search including all counties lived/worked).
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start.
  • Education verification required (highest degree verified through National Student Clearinghouse).
  • Fingerprinting (OH BCI/FBI) required within 60 days of start and must be updated for each new contract.
  • Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 60 days prior to start.
  • TB testing: Two PPDs or IGRA within 12 months; additional requirements if positive.
  • Fit testing: N95 fit testing required within 1 year of start and updated annually.
  • Immunizations and health documents required:
    • TDAP vaccine within 10 years.
    • Flu vaccine required during flu season (Oct 31 - May 31); medical/religious exemptions accepted with documentation.
    • Hepatitis B vaccination or declination.
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunization or titers with boosters as needed.
  • Physical exam: Required within 1 year of start (facility accepts infection control policy in lieu of physical copy).
  • Code of Conduct and Confidentiality Agreement must be reviewed and signed prior to start.
  • Unit-specific skills checklist required and must be updated annually.
  • Employment application and resume required.
