Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Stockbridge, Georgia
Work Setting: Operating Room (busy OR)
Schedule:

• Blocked Monday through Friday
• Day shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (5x8 hours, 40 hours/week)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
• Must work major holidays if they fall during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day)

Contract Length: Approximately 15 weeks

Patient Population

• Neonates through Geriatrics

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Radiology Technician experience, including experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel assignment
• Licenses/Certifications:

  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
• X-Ray Technician experience
• Experience with Epic system

Orientation and Compliance

• Maximum 7 days to report to orientation (RTO)
• Full compliance required to start on time; delays result in 2-week pushback due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
• Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)

Clinical Screening

• Candidates will undergo a clinical screen to determine fit before final manager approval

Health and Background Requirements

• Background check required within 30 days prior to start; must be complete before starting
• Education verification required; diplomas/transcripts may be requested
• Physical exam within 12 months of start required
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months; TB questionnaire required annually
• Immunizations/vaccinations required or proof of immunity:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) – 2 vaccines or positive titer
  • Varicella – 2 vaccines or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B surface antibody titer or signed declination
  • Flu vaccine or signed declination (strongly encouraged during flu season)
• Drug screen: Negative 10-panel drug test within 60 days of start; instant drug screen acceptable

Competency and Testing Requirements

• Color Blind Testing (online) required for all candidates
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required for RNs and LVNs (not required for this role)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam not specified for this role

• Scrub color: Pewter Gray/Black
• Locals accepted at same rate
• Candidate must review and sign facility’s Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance Policy prior to start

• Valid Driver’s License or State ID (photo ID required)
• State license verification (must be licensed by Georgia)
• Clinical references (2 clinical references required)
• Work history verification of most recent employer (can be pending with proof running)
• Skills checklist updated within 12 months
