Physical Therapist - Acute Care Hospital
Location: Fort Worth, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Inpatient Physical Therapist position
- Typical hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID (e.g., Driver’s License or State ID)
- Background check including SS trace, county searches for last 7 years, nationwide sex offender check
- Education verification of initial and most recent related degrees
- Physical exam within 1 year of start date
- Negative TB test (T-Spot or Q-Gold) within 1 year; PPD not accepted
- Required immunizations or titers:
- TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) vaccine required; exemptions require facility-specific approval
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters required if low titer)
- Varicella (titer, 2 vaccines, or history of disease; boosters if low titer)
- Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant tests not accepted)
- Annual flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required year-round
- COVID-19 vaccination is highly encouraged but not mandatory
- Two professional references verified within one year of start
- Skills checklist updated annually and valid at start date
Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA preferred)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred but not mandatory for this role
Additional Information
- Orientation and Occupational Health appointments required prior to start
- Various competency exams and facility-specific onboarding documents must be completed electronically before start date
- Facility requires annual renewal of competency exams and skills checklist
- Travelers must comply with all facility-specific policies and documentation requirements
