Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Role: Main OR Circulator
• Call required nights, weekends, and holidays
• Schedule includes 3-day weekend per month and minimum 1 day per week
• Floating to Surgery Center circulating role as needed
• Surgical cases include all except heart, brain, and spine
• Shift hours: 0630-1500 Monday through Friday with no days off
• Late shifts are mandatory
• Scrubs provided

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• Minimum 2 years full-time Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Certifications required:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
• State License 1 Verification

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government issued photo ID required
• Background checks including 7-year search, education verification, and annual federal exclusions checks
• Primary source verification of state nursing license
• Physical exam within 1 year of start (specific to travel placement)
• Immunizations and health requirements including:

  • TDAP (within 10 years or declination)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) documentation or declination
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or declination
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination
  • COVID vaccine or declination
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable
• 2 professional references within 3 years

• Call coverage includes nights, weekends, and holidays
• Late shifts are mandatory
• Scrubs provided by employer

This position is ideal for experienced OR nurses looking for a travel contract with a surgical focus excluding cardiac, neuro, and spine cases. Prior travel experience is not required.
