Job Details

  • Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation

  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
  • Start Date: ASAP (flexible for later starts)
  • Assignment Length: 13 - 26 weeks preferred (contract length interpreted as 13 weeks)
  • Shift Schedule:
    • 5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts
    • May include occasional weekend coverage and floating
  • Weekly Hours: 36 hours
  • Cancellation Notice: 14 days

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) preferred
  • New graduates will be considered

Certifications & Licenses (must be current and verifiable)

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred
  • State License verification (primary source online verification)
  • National Tech Certification as applicable (note some states require state licenses for techs)

Background Checks & Compliance

  • Standard background check including 7-year search of locations lived/worked/schooled
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM verification (annual)
  • HHS/OIG verification (annual)

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year of start; if past positive, negative chest x-ray within 1 year
  • Immunizations or proof of immunity for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
    • Varicella (titer, vaccine, or history of chickenpox)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
  • 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (instant drug screen acceptable)

Competency Requirements

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable by profession)
  • Competency Exam (as applicable by profession)

Additional Requirements

  • Emergency Contact Form required prior to start
  • Skills Checklist required annually
  • Professional References:
    • 2 references for travel, allied, or per diem acute care
    • 1 reference for per diem non-acute care
    • Not required for non-clinical roles
  • May include floating assignments
