Physical Therapist - Alabama (Cullman)

Job Type

Temporary contract
Onsite work
Contract length: 13 weeks
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (8 hours/day, 40 hours/week)
No on-call required
No guaranteed 40 hours (hours may vary)

Job Description

Perform physical therapy evaluations and treatments based on physician orders/referrals
Complete comprehensive evaluations using appropriate tools and procedures
Review patient records for diagnosis, medical history, precautions, and contraindications
Establish measurable goals and develop treatment plans to improve patient independence and function
Regularly reassess treatment effectiveness and patient progress; modify goals or treatment as needed
Communicate patient needs and progress to treatment team, physicians, patients, and families
Consult with medical providers regarding evaluation, treatment, progress, and discharge planning
Recommend and assist in securing special adaptive equipment to enhance rehabilitation
Maintain and submit evaluation, treatment, and billing documentation according to company, facility, and regulatory requirements
Adhere to company policies, HIPAA, corporate compliance, professional practice standards, and applicable laws
Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and Physical Therapy Aides in patient care and related activities per state practice act
Participate in staff development programs and continuing education to maintain and enhance clinical skills

Required Qualifications

Valid Physical Therapist license in Alabama
Experience with OASIS
Experience with Homecare Homebase

Mileage reimbursement provided at standard rate
