Job Opportunity: Pharmacist

Location: Juneau, Alaska
Employment Type: Contract Clinician
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Interpret and evaluate provider orders for safe, rational, and cost-effective drug therapy.
Ensure accuracy of drug dispensing and monitor drug therapy.
Communicate with healthcare providers involved in patient care.
Participate in adherence to drug use policies.
Provide pharmacotherapy education and information to physicians, nurses, and patients.
Responsible for clinical projects and committee participation.
Utilize computerized charting and Meditech systems.

Required Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 2 years hospital pharmacy practice experience OR completion of a pharmacy practice residency in a hospital setting (higher value taken).
Education: Pharmacy Degree (Bachelor's or PharmD) from an accredited school of pharmacy.
License: State of Alaska Pharmacist License in good standing.

Additional Information

Work schedule varies.
Dress code: Scrubs.
No floating to other units/departments.
No prior travel experience required.
