Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Services
Location: Salisbury, Maryland
Employment Type: Contract Clinician
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Assist with electrophysiology (EP) sedation and circulation monitoring, including IV conscious sedation and hemodynamic procedures.
- Scrub in on all diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular cases alongside physicians.
- Utilize equipment such as Cardiolab, INSIGHT 3D Mapping, and EPIC computerized documentation system.
- Familiarity with hemodynamic systems and devices including ACT, IABP, Rotoblator, IVUS, Coronary Flow Wire, and Laser is required.
- Support a high-volume caseload of 24 to 32 procedures per day.
- Work within a team of 4 per procedure room: 1 RN (preferably 2 on interventional cases) and 2 techs (1 x-ray and 1 cardiovascular technologist).
- Possible floating to other units/departments, including Cardiac Cath Lab.
- Unit includes two EP Lab suites and three Cardiac Cath Lab suites.
- Dress code: Scrubs provided.
- Orientation: 1-2 day departmental orientation with a preceptor.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 4 days per week.
- On-call Saturday mornings from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM as needed.
- 6-8 scheduled late shifts per month; no mandatory callbacks after 5:00 PM if not needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Minimum 3 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
- Minimum 2 years of Electrophysiology (EP) Lab experience, with EP experience within the last year.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Experience working in a Cardiac Cath Lab environment.

- Department requires high-volume procedural support with teamwork and technical proficiency.
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
