Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Alabama
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Labor and Delivery (3 years of experience)
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• ACLS or ALS-OB
• NRP
• EFM
• BLS
• Fetal Monitoring and Assessment
• Post Partum experience

Clinical Details

• Float to postpartum
• Adult patient population
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Weekly orientation on Mondays
• Block scheduling available
• 48-hour workweek guarantees available

Unit Notes

• 9-bed unit
• Common cases include normal spontaneous labor, preterm labor, gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, placenta previa, placental abruption, fetal distress, umbilical cord prolapse, and postpartum hemorrhage

Dress Code

• Ceil blue scrubs
• No non-compliant scrub colors
• No scrubs with slogans, graphics, or offensive content
• Appropriate footwear required
