Job Opportunity: CT Tech / X-Ray Tech

Location: Lincoln, Nebraska
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

A hospital in Eastern Nebraska is seeking a CT Tech / X-Ray Tech. This role requires flexibility, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and work across multiple imaging modalities.

Requirements

• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARRT-CT (Certified CT Technologist)
• Experience:

  • X-Ray or CT experience preferred
• Prior Travel Experience:

  • Not explicitly required
• Other:

  • Must be able to work call (rotational call 1 every 4 weekends and weekday call)
  • Must have a valid driver’s license at time of submission
  • Must comply with a 50-mile radius rule (cannot be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity)
  • Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments; refusal to remove will lead to contract termination
  • Radiation badge provided by client

Equipment & Technology

• Required experience with GE VCT 64 slice and GE Revolution 128 slice CT scanners
• Familiarity with GE CT scanners or Epic EMR system
• PACS system: McKesson

Department Details

• Imaging rooms:

  • MRI: 2 rooms
  • CT: 4 rooms
  • X-Ray: 3 rooms plus Endoscopy, OR, and portable units
  • Nuclear Medicine: 2 rooms plus PET
  • Ultrasound: 3 rooms
  • Interventional Radiology: 2 rooms
  • Mammography: 3 rooms
• Floating/coverage areas include CT, X-Ray, OR, Endoscopy, and Emergency Department

Scheduling & Work Conditions

• Shift scheduling is varied and determined by supervisor (no self-scheduling)
• Weekend and holiday work required
• Call or standby required with varied response times
• Orientation: 1-2 shifts specific to unit/department
• Rapid turnaround time (RTO) required within 7 days of contract start; no additional RTO approvals
