Job Overview

An Operating Room (OR) Nurse plays a critical role in ensuring successful surgical procedures. This position requires a highly skilled and compassionate nurse who can effectively collaborate with medical teams while delivering exceptional patient care in the operating room.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Prepare the operating room, ensuring all surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are sterile and ready.
• Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and supplies efficiently.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and maintain a sterile environment throughout surgery.
• Provide post-operative care and monitor patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families about surgical procedures, post-operative care, and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate patient records and surgical logs.
• Adhere to strict infection control regulations and hospital policies.
• Prepare patients for surgery, including administering medications and conducting preoperative assessments.
• Assist with patient transportation to and from the operating room.

Requirements

• Certifications: ACLS (AHA or ARC), BLS (AHA or ARC)
