Job Opportunity: Inpatient Rehab Occupational Therapist

Location: Jerome, Idaho

Position Details

• Specialty: Inpatient Rehab Therapy (Occupational Therapy)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Department: Occupational Therapy, Occupational Health Unit
• Patient Load: 8 to 10 patients per day, 1 therapist per day
• Patient Types:

  • Orthopedic total joints
  • Neurological (strokes, occasional brain injuries, no TBI)
  • Medical and General ICU patients
• Care Settings: Acute Inpatient and Swing Bed (also float to nearby facility when census is low)

Requirements & Qualifications

• Certifications: BLS required
• Experience: Minimum 1 year licensed experience in acute inpatient or rehab settings
• EMR System: EPIC
• Supervision: OT Manager available on each shift
• Rehab Aides: No COTAs staffed
• Scheduling:

  • 5 shifts per week, 8 hours each (08:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
  • No self-scheduling
  • May require holiday coverage
• Orientation: 2-3 days unit/department specific orientation, typically Monday-Friday 5x8 hour shifts
• Dress Code: Scrubs permitted, but must not match colors of other departments (color options provided upon hire)

Additional Notes

• Facility enforces a 50-mile radius rule for candidates’ permanent address eligibility
• Travelers should be comfortable with floating to a nearby medical center when needed
