Respiratory Therapist - Washington (Silverdale)

Job Details

• Location: Silverdale, Washington
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 1900-07:30 (full-time)
• Weekend Requirement: Yes
• Holiday Requirement: One holiday
• Department: Respiratory Therapy (Inpatient)
• Patient Population: Mostly adults, some pediatrics through the ED
• Typical Treatments per Day: Approximately 25

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Active Washington State RT License
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and either RRT or CRT
• Must have Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience
• Must have NICU experience, competent with strong level 2 nursery care (bubble CPAP for 32 weeks and up)
• Experience with ventilator management and respiratory equipment (PB 980, Philips V60, Respironics Lumis)
• Able to assist with intubation (not required to intubate independently)

Job Responsibilities

• Drawing arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Setting up BiPAP and ventilators
• Administering nebulizer treatments
• Assisting with conscious sedation and cardioversion standby
• Lead therapist available on every shift
• No EKG performance required

Additional Information

• 4 or more RTs on night shift; will not be the only RT in-house
• Department-specific orientation provided
• Dress code: personal scrubs, any color
• 24/7 hospitalist or intensivist coverage
