CT Technologist (Computed Tomography) - Phoenix, Arizona
Job Details
- Location: Phoenix, Arizona
- Contract Length: 13 weeks minimum
- Shift: Days
- Hours: 12 hours per day, approximately 36 hours per week
- Work Environment: Fast-paced, teaching hospital with other CT technologists on site
- Unit: CT Scan Department with 5 procedure rooms (2 in ER, 3 in main Radiology on 4th floor)
- Cases per Day: Approximately 25, varying by ER and inpatient volume
- Typical Cases: Routine CT exams, CTA with perfusion, trauma cases
- Orientation: At least 1 week of 1:1 floor-specific orientation
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, depending on schedule (not every weekend)
- Call: None
- Holidays: No holiday shifts required
- Floating: No floating between units
Required Qualifications
- Certifications:
- ARRT (R)(CT)
- MRTBE CRT and CTCT
- BLS Certification
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of core CT technologist experience
- Level 1 Trauma and teaching hospital experience required
- Previous travel experience required for ED and Neuro ICU roles (indicates prior travel experience is required)
- Technical Skills:
- Experience with GE scanners required; Philips ICT preferred
- Cerner EMR experience required (PACS is DR systems)
- Exams:
- Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48 hours prior to acceptance for certain units (including ER, ICU, Cath Lab, Telemetry, etc.)
- Day 1 Pass/Fail Exam required
- Other:
- Must have own vehicle if on travel teams
- No facial piercings and only natural hair colors allowed
- Cannot hold multiple contracts simultaneously
- Must have been off permanent staff at this health system for 12 months to be eligible for travel assignment
