Occupational Therapist (OT) - Inpatient

Location: Marshfield, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Treat approximately 9 evaluations and 16 treatments per day per therapist.
• Patient population includes adult and pediatric ICUs, Level 2 pediatric & adult trauma center, primary stroke center, same day discharge joint program, trauma, neuro, ortho, general med-surg, oncology, pediatric and adult inpatient rehab, and stroke specialty programs.
• Work settings include adult and pediatric acute inpatient, adult and pediatric ICUs, and acute inpatient rehab.
• Responsibilities include ADL evaluation, documentation to justify next level of care, and strong verbal and written communication.
• Must demonstrate flexibility and strong teamwork skills.

Schedule & Work Conditions

• Day shift, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
• Variable scheduling; self-scheduling is not allowed.
• Weekend and holiday work required on a rotating basis with core staff; compensatory days are scheduled for weekends worked.
• Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility.
• Dress code: Any solid color, clean and professional attire.

Onboarding & Credentialing

• Must complete all onboarding, including Wisconsin state OT license, by the 2nd Monday of the month to avoid delayed start dates.
• Credentialing process includes client credentialing team meetings every 3rd Monday of the month, with up to 10 additional business days for approval after the meeting.
• Entire submission to start process can take up to 2 months or longer depending on candidate and onboarding items.
• If previously employed at this facility, clinicians must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission.

Team Structure

• Rehab aides and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) are part of the team.
• No self-scheduling; work rotation includes weekends and holidays with core staff.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Wisconsin OT license.
• BLS certification (AHA).
• Experience with inpatient acute care and rehab settings preferred.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

• Department-specific orientation varies based on skill level.
• Must be able to cover all listed patient care areas as needed.
