Sonographer Position – North Dakota

Location

• City: Dickinson, North Dakota

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Night shifts, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Mixed shifts with varied start times; team scheduling
• Weekend and holiday work required
• Call or standby required

Job Duties and Imaging Types

• Perform imaging/studies including:

  • Arterial and venous extremities
  • Small parts, breast, carotid
  • Obstetrics (OB)
  • Pediatric spine and head
  • Abdomen, renal dopplers, pelvic
  • Echocardiography (echo)
• May be required to float/cover X-ray if possible

Equipment and Systems

• Use Philips Epic ultrasound machines
• Siemens C-arm, X-ray, CT scanner, portable X-ray, and GE portable X-ray
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system: Meditech
• Picture Archive & Communication System (PACS) utilized

Required Qualifications

• ARDMS certification
• BLS certification
• North Dakota state licensure for Sonographer
• Experience in vascular, OB, breast, and abdomen/small parts imaging required
• X-ray experience preferred

Orientation and Supervision

• Orientation length depends on experience
• Radiology supervisor or lead tech available during day shifts; night techs work alone with phone support

Additional Information

• No clinical involvement beyond imaging duties
• Fit testing required for facial hair compliance; inability to pass fit test due to facial hair may result in contract cancellation

Other Requirements

• Radius rule: must live within 50 miles
• Candidates may not be currently employed full time, part time, or PRN with any related healthcare facilities within the specified network
• Return to office (RTO) required within 7 days of contract start; no additional RTO extensions allowed
