Cardiopulmonary Tech Assistant

Contract

• 13 weeks
• Day shift
• 40 hours per week

Role Summary

• Provides clerical and patient-flow support under the supervision of the Cardiology Supervisor/Director.
• Responsibilities include scheduling, patient registration, answering phones, data collection, word processing, and assisting with patient prep and ambulation.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in California
• Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience
• Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent clerical/scheduling experience
• Medical terminology

Key Duties

• Schedule and reschedule inpatient and outpatient procedures
• Confirm appointments and distribute daily schedules
• Obtain and verify authorizations and written orders
• Register patients and update records
• Support patient flow, room cleaning, and basic patient prep
• Assist with reports, logs, billing accuracy, and quality improvement activities
