Job Description

As a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse, you will provide individualized, safe, and therapeutic care to patients and their families. Your role includes assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care plans, and evaluating patient progress. You will collaborate with healthcare team members to manage complex or high-risk clinical situations and serve as a patient and family advocate.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting thorough patient and family assessments and documenting findings.
• Developing and implementing age- and culturally appropriate nursing care plans.
• Evaluating patient and family progress toward goals and adjusting care plans as needed.
• Identifying and addressing patient and family educational needs with individualized teaching plans.
• Recognizing communication barriers and seeking interdisciplinary support to ensure effective care.
• Delegating care tasks appropriately within the healthcare team.
• Coordinating with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes and workflow.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• At least 3 years of recent RN experience
• At least 2 years of recent RN experience in Labor & Delivery specialty
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• Certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
• AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Advanced or Intermediate certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
