Registered Dietician

Location: Bronx, New York
Employment Type: Acute - Allied
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Shift: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week

Job Summary

Monitor patients for food/drug interactions and provide education.
Consult with physicians regarding appropriate diet modifications.

Key Responsibilities

Screen and assess patients to determine nutritional needs and provide follow-up care.
Interview patients and/or families to obtain food habits and preferences.
Interpret laboratory, physical, and social data relevant to nutrition care.
Provide nutrition education and document patient diet instructions and understanding.
Modify patient menus as needed.

Required Qualifications

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year.
Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) (Primary Source Verification required).
