Registered Nurse – CCU

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour variable shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and every other holiday

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in a Critical Care Unit (CCU) setting.
• Float to similar units within skillset and to other nearby locations within a 40-mile radius; floating may be pre-scheduled.
• Patient ratio typically 1:2.
• Occasional care of pediatric surgical patients (ENT or orthopedic cases).
• Charting system: EPIC (no prior charting experience required).
• May be placed on call with a minimum 2-hour callback during low census periods.
• Contractors must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility.

Required Qualifications

• Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current AHA or Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience.
• Prior critical access or rural experience highly preferred.

Additional Information

• Scrub color: any.
• Orientation week is not eligible for GSA.
• Contract includes eligibility for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours.
• During flu season, travelers who decline flu and COVID vaccinations must wear a mask at all times per facility policy; non-compliance may result in corrective action.
