13 weeks

Schedule

Variable day/PM shifts
Shift lengths: 8, 10, or 12 hours
Start times may be as early as 5:00 AM and as late as 7:30 PM on 12-hour shifts
Every other weekend and holiday
Can accommodate block scheduling

Work Setting

Primary location is a kidney care setting
Coverage may include both inpatient and outpatient RN/PCT roles based on need
Float only between inpatient and outpatient

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Wisconsin
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
2 years of dialysis experience
Dialysis experience within the last year
Experience in an inpatient setting

Preferred Experience

Trauma level II experience

Call Requirements

On-call 3 times in a two-week period
2 of those may fall on every other working weekend
1-hour response time

Charting

Epic preferred

Additional Notes

Guaranteed hours: 72 hours biweekly
Overtime after 80 hours worked in the second week
Eligible for 36 hours of low-census unbillable hours
May be placed on call during low-census hours
Call-back pay applies if called back in
Set hours are not guaranteed during orientation
Hours are not guaranteed during holidays when the unit is closed
