Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Telemetry

Job Description

• Work on a 42-bed Cardiac Medical Unit specializing in Cardiac Telemetry.
• Patient ratio: 1:6.
• Care for cardiac patients with chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, and various cardiac arrhythmias.
• Also care for medical patients with pneumonia, GI issues, COPD, diabetes, occasional stroke, and some surgical patients.
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.
• Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week, every other weekend, holidays as required.
• EMR system: Meditech.
• Dress code: Solid navy scrub colors.
• Parking available.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree in nursing.
• License: Registered Nurse license for the State of Alabama or compact license (No temporary licenses accepted). Must be registered in NURSYS.
• Certifications: AHA BLS or Red Cross certification.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years nursing experience, with at least 1 recent year in Med Surg Telemetry or related specialty. Candidates with 18 months experience under the highest professional license may be considered.
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required.

Additional Information

• This is a patient-facing clinical position.
• Must be willing to float to other units/hospitals as needed.
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week.
